Interestingly I photograph one of my most favorite subjects mainly in the Fall and Winter, I've always been drawn to the shape, texture and contrast of trees. They all have a unique personality.

The slightly bigger picture, these are vignettes of everyday scenes, many are photographed from the side of a rural country road.

One thing that has always attracted me to old structures is the wonder of what they were like when they were new. Homes filled with families, farms alive with livestock and planted fields, all building a future. A future that has come and gone, leaving only the remnants.

Unlike trees in the Fall and Winter, plants and flowers capture my eye the entire year, sometimes full of life and color or often laying dormant till Spring. Whether they're photographed in the studio or their natural habitat, I look for mood and spacial relationships then color and texture.

Still life images of items I've discovered mostly in my yard or while walking my dogs. Usually racked up and discarded, these are nature's little treasures when you take the time to look.

Whether it's the mirrored surface of a pond or the motion of a mountain stream, water always brings a sense of calm and serenity.
